Official Venue Host

"Impressed by what you accomplished already."

Jan-Maarten Boissevain, Sevenstar Yacht Transport

"Over 150 participants from 30 countries attended. This overwhelming response was more than even the organisers themselves could have hoped for, and had the naysayers eating their hats. The conference provided affirmation that, not just the region, but the international community, had an interest to see Asia develop into a superyacht destination in its own right. In particular, the Australians see it as a springboard for superyachts to venture further south."

YP Loke, Spinnaker International

"I am delighted about the Conference and its outcomes. I have no doubt the Conference delivered a mandate to the Asian superyacht industry to form a united approach to developing the superyacht industry in your region. That now becomes the next challenge."

Lance Cushion, President, International Superyacht Society

"I thought the conference was an excellent initiative and very well managed and presented. It was a ‘meeting of minds’ and will be seen to mark the significant turning point in the promotion of all our superyacht regions. I felt privileged to attend and make a presentation on Australia."

Richard Morris, Director, Superyacht Australia

Overview

Overwhelming Positivity at the 1st Asia Superyacht Conference

The 1st Asia Superyacht Conference which was held from 13-14 October 2009 in Singapore was organised by the Superyacht Singapore Association (SSA), and saw over 150 participants attend from over 30 countries around the world.

This ground-breaking and inspiring event that has led to the formation of the Asia-Pacific Superyacht Association, that is both capable of promoting the region to the rest of the world and also being an effective lobbying body to encourage Governments within the region to understand and act on the opportunities posed by visiting superyachts.

Following on the success of the 2009, we invite you to participate in the 2nd Asia Superyacht Conference to be held in Singapore in October, where we are planning a vastly enhanced conference including a trade show and prebookable one-to-one meetings to encourage collaboration.

The conference has two key frames: firstly, the development of the superyacht building industry in Asia with a special focus on China and Taiwan; and secondly, enhancing the Asia-Pacific region as the world’s third cruising destination.

The conference in a genuine “East meets West’ experience providing detailed market intelligence and extensive collaboration opportunities through the various networking events.

In addition to the conference programme there will be a number of quality social events and a tour of the marinas in Singapore. This conference is the only event of its type in the world and last year’s event led to the formation of the Asia-Pacific Superyacht Association.

We hope to see you there and to assist you in creating opportunities in this stunning region.
